Three agricultural ponds were demolished in Al-Jiftlik

Today, Thursday, three Palestinian agricultural pools were destroyed by the Israeli occupation forces in Al-Jiftlik village, in the Jordan Valley.

These pools are owned by Iyad Al-Damen, Nasr Zbeidat and Munir Nassara, and the demolition process came after the occupation forces delivered notifications to the farmers earlier, on the pretext that these pools exist in "state lands."

The coordinator of the Agricultural Relief Office in the Jordan Valley, Azim Hajj Muhammad, said: The occupation forces and the Civil Administration are increasingly issuing demolition orders to farmers during the recent period, with the aim of emptying the Jordan Valley from the population and farmers to create a fait accompli on the ground, especially in light of the increasing talk about the occupation’s intention to initiate annexation measures. The Jordan Valley and the imposition of Israeli laws in it. "

Haj Muhammad indicated that one of these ponds has been rehabilitated through agricultural relief projects in order to develop a grape farm for seed in the Jordan Valley, and that demolishing them will cause large losses to farmers in the next season, and it is possible to completely lose the project in the absence of irrigation water.
