The Israeli occupation army has killed 282 Palestinian citizens since the announcement by US President Donald Tarombe of Jerusalem as the capital of the occupying Power last December, according to data published by the Jerusalem Center for Israeli and Palestinian studies.
The Israeli occupation forces killed 60 children and five people with special needs in the same period (from December 6, 2017 to October 1), the center said in a statistical study on Monday.
The study added that 17 Palestinian opponents were martyred during the "preparation and equipping", 28 martyrs as a result of Israeli shelling of the Gaza Strip, along with 6 prisoners in the occupation jails, as well as 41 children during the repression of the major return march on the Gaza Strip border.
Eight Palestinian women were martyred during the same period; 3 during the suppression of the occupation of the return marches, including the martyr nurse Razan Najjar (21 years).
The Jerusalem Center said that six prisoners were martyred after being arrested by the Israeli occupation army, raising the martyrs of the captive movement from 1967 to 217, the last of which was the martyr Mohammed al-Remawi, who was executed by the occupation during an attempt to arrest him from his home in Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah.
"The occupation continues to kill Palestinians, without regard to any international, human rights and humanitarian norms," the center said. And the failure of efforts to reach a lull between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation has contributed to the intensification of the Israeli killing, which continues to plague the Palestinian people. "
The Jerusalem center called on Human Rights and legal institutions and institutions of the Palestinian Authority to act, bring the occupation army to international courts for war crimes, and stop its criminal repression of return marches.
It is noteworthy that, on December 6, 2017, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trepe, declared Jerusalem the capital of the Israeli occupying Power and transferred his embassy to it on 15 May 2018.
The Palestinians have been participating in peaceful marches, near the fence between Gaza and the occupied Palestinian Territory in 1948, since March 30 March, demanding the return of the refugees to their towns and villages from which they were abandoned in 1948 and breaking the siege of Gaza.
These peaceful marches are violently repressed by the army, where protesters are heavily shot and gas bombs are being fired.
Since the marches were launched, 204 Palestinians have been killed, including 10 martyrs whose bodies have been detained and not registered in the statements of the Palestinian Health Ministry, while 22,000 others have been injured, including 400 in high-risk situations.
