The Taher Foundation of Indonesia has made an initial contribution of 5 billion Indonesian rupees (US $ 350,000) to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The donation came during a ceremony at UNRWA headquarters in Amman, where Indonesian businessman Prof. Dato Seri Taher made his contribution to Acting Commissioner-General Christian Saunders in the presence of the Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan Andy Andy Rashmianto. .
Taher reiterated his support for Palestine refugees. "I am grateful and my family for participating in this amazing effort and the support provided by UNRWA to Palestine refugees and we highly appreciate all its humanitarian work for them," he said.
“UNRWA is very grateful for this generous donation and a strong commitment to the health and education of Palestine refugees,” said Saunders.
