Today, Wednesday, Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila announced the registration of 8 deaths, 2,675 new infections with the “Corona” virus, and 837 cases of recovery during the last 24 hours.
In the daily report on the epidemiological situation in Palestine, Al-Kaila confirmed that the new deaths were recorded in the governorates as follows: Qalqilya (1), Tulkarm (1), and the Gaza Strip (6).
She said that the new injuries were recorded as follows: Qalqilya (126), Tulkarm (294), Salfit (101), Nablus (374), Tubas (22), Jenin (134), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (152), Jericho and the Jordan Valley (4 ), the outskirts of Jerusalem (5), Hebron (40), Bethlehem (10), the Gaza Strip (1413), pointing out that 12,217 examinations were conducted.
Al-Kaila added that the new cases of recovery were distributed as follows: Qalqilya (24), Tulkarm (65), Salfit (14), Nablus (193), Tubas (34), Jenin (49), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (33), Jericho and the Jordan Valley ( 5), Jerusalem Suburbs (2), Hebron (40), Bethlehem (3), Gaza Strip (375).
She stated that the rate of recovery from the virus in Palestine was 93.0%, while the percentage of active infections was 6%, and the death rate was 1% of the total infections.
The Minister of Health pointed out that there are 50 people infected with the virus in intensive care rooms, while 135 patients are being treated in Corona centers and departments in West Bank hospitals, including 8 on artificial respirators.
With regard to the citizens who received antiviral vaccines, their total number in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 991,613, of whom 459,128 received both doses of the vaccine.
